2010 Annual Tree Seedling Sale
Plant distribution will take place on April 17th, 2010 at the Allegan County Math and Science Center from 9:00-2:00pm. 2891 M-222, Allegan, MI. *Please note orders are due by April 2nd, 2010.
Since 1941, the Allegan Conservation District has provided low-cost trees and shrubs for sale to the public at its Annual Tree Seedling Sale. This is a great opportunity for landowners to join with the District in “putting conservation in the ground”. The plants are suitable for use in a variety of locations, including your urban backyard and along your streamside property to establish a lush riparian buffer. Help celebrate Earth Day! Plant a Tree!
More than 30 plant species are available, most plants are native to the region. The plants are bare-root seedlings, typically 12 to 24 inches tall. Blue-bird houses, bat houses, compost bins, rain barrels and animal repellents are also available through on the tree sale order form or at the Allegan Math and Science Center on April 17th, 2010.
The 2010 Tree Sale Order Form is available to download in the District Download Section under Seedling Sale, or download the 2010 Tree Seedling Order Form here. Please note the 2010 order form prints to legal size paper. Order forms are also available at the District office or you can request that one be mailed to you by calling (269) 673-8965 ext.3. The Annual Tree Sale supports the conservation efforts of the Allegan Conservation District. The District has sold over 3 million tree seedlings to private landowners in Allegan County over the past 66 years.
